All of Cules’ dream is to return Pep Guardiola to Barcelona. Tribuna.com offers three reasons that convince us that this can really happen.
1. Ban to Man. City
As you know, UEFA have banned the current Pepe club for the next two seasons in the Champions League. Although Guardiola himself says he will not leave the “citizens,” it is unlikely that his ambitious coach will be able to participate in domestic tournaments for only two years.
Therefore, it should not be excluded that in the case of departing from Manchester, Pep will go exactly to Barca, whose door is always open to the Catalan.
2. The attractive midfield of Barca
Everyone is aware that midfielders play a unique role in Guardiola’s playing style. The Blaugrana also has many young and talented middlemen: Frank De Jong, Arthur Melo, Carles Alena, Ricky Puch, who may even become the motivation for Pep’s return.
3. Presidential elections
Presidential elections will be held in Barcelona in 2021, and Josep Maria Bartomeu will most likely be replaced by someone else. The leading candidates are Victor Font and Joan Laporta.
The first pre-election promise of both is to bring Guardiola to the team. As you know, it was Laporta who appointed Pep as Barca’s boss in his time in charge of the team’s golden age.
So, there are quite a few circumstances in which Guardiola’s return home is truly credible.
