Tottenham reminded their players of their social distancing responsibility during the coronavirus lockdown period. This after social media posts revealed some failing to strictly follow the social-distancing guidelines.
Jose Mourinho was pictured holding a training session with Tanguy Ndombele on Hadley Common. Footage emerged of him wearing his trademark purple Spurs training top and tracksuit bottoms.
On the other hand, Davison Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon were pictured jogging together side-by-side through the same London park.
The Ivorian international, Serge Aurier also posted a video of himself on Instagram jogging alongside another person.
Their actions prompted Tottenham spokesperson into saying. “All of our players have been reminded to respect social distancing when exercising outdoors.”
“We shall continue to reinforce this message.”
Spurs was already under siege after the chairman, Daniel Levy made the controversial decision to reduce wages of his 550 non-football staff by 20%. In some cases, by placing them on temporary leave.
Consequently, the UK government reports members of the public should stay at home to help contain the spread of coronavirus.
Restrictions put in place suggests individuals should minimize the chances of walking out and only leave if they have a “reasonable reason.”
If at all people have to walk outside, they must stay more than 2meters apart from anyone other than members of their own household.
Individuals are also allowed to go for walks or exercise outdoors once a day if adhering to social-distancing guidelines.
