Sadio Mane has transformed into one of the world’s best attackers. This he has managed since he joined Liverpool from Southampton back in 2016.

In that duration, the 28-year-old has scored 77 goals and supplied 34 assists in 161 appearances for the club. Mane has also been an influential figure in the Red’s resurgence under Jurgen Klopp, won the golden boot as well as the African Player of the Year award since joining Liverpool.

His brilliant displays have seen him strongly linked to Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Rumors claim he could be in search of a new challenge.

After showcasing a spectacular campaign last month, Mane finished fourth in the Ballon d’Or final lists. Majorly, many names openly said he could have won the award ahead of Messi.

The Senegalese continuous to be linked with a move from Liverpool. However, ex-Liverpool player, John Aldridge claims Liverpool are better than Barcelona and the player would have to conquer Messi to win the Ballon d’Or award.

Aldridge said, “The release of the documentary tracking his career and life story of Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane has got people talking.”

“Not least the part where he makes a vow to people in his Senegalese home town that he will win the Ballon d’Or.”

“Mane has probably been our best player this season. what’s more, he can get even better next season and perhaps even win the Champions League again.”

“what’s more, Liverpool are a better team than either Barcelona or Real at present. When things are going well, you just have to enjoy it. I’m sure Mane has been over the past 18 months.”

“Don’t forget even if the Reds forward moves to Barcelona, he would still have to overcome Messi. Mane can win the Ballon d’Or as he is a great player. He has as much chance winning it while at Liverpool than anywhere else.”
