The former Arsenal coach, Unai Emery coached in La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Premier League. Speaking to Eurosport, he believes that three players made Spanish football the envy of the world.

Emery insists one must stay while another should have never left and one must return.

The former Arsenal boss who was sacked following a disappointing start to the 2019/20 season is now back in his homeland having previously enjoyed success with Sevilla.

Having worked with Neymar in PSG, Emery has revealed that he is keen for the Brazilian to now return to Spain where he spent three seasons alongside Messi and Suarez in Barcelona.

With Barca keen to take the 28-year-old back, Emery commented, “Now that I am in Spain, I would like the best players to be there. I would like Messi to continue, that Cristiano had not left, that Neymar returns. Having those players in our league makes us bigger.”

“Neymar has a huge heart. You also have to understand people empathize. A sports career is short. So, it is important to be able to focus on moments that your profession requires.”

“Neymar must be told to take advantage of these moments where because he has the ability. I have always said that it has been an honor for me to work with him for a year.”

Emery did not specify which team he would like to see Neymar within Spain. To him, a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid are possible if they meet PSG’s price.
