Dean Henderson is currently on loan in Sheffield United. The goalkeeper has been impressive for the Blades and is expected to stay on loan in the club again next year.

Given the facts Sheffield are two points behind the fifth-placed Man United, there is a real possibility that Henderson could help propel his loan side above his permanent team into the Champions League spots.

Regardless, Solskjaer has no plans to recall the young goalkeeper. This because he is unlikely to unseat David de Gea in the Old Trafford net.

Henderson has reportedly told friends he wants to take over from the Spaniard as the Red Devils’ No.1 goalkeeper as soon as possible. He also shared he wouldn’t sign permanently for the Yorkshire club.

The academy graduate also has sights set on becoming England’s first-choice goalkeeper. He was apparently set to be given his start by Gareth Southgate for matches against Italy and Switzerland before cancellation.

Odion Ighalo

The Nigeria International looks set to return to the Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua at the end of May. The striker had signed a short-term deal with United after the CSL suspension earlier this year.

His current loan contract will expire on May 31. This leaves United to make an offer to Shanghai Shenhua in order to extend it. Though, the club has no plans of making an offer over Ighalo and wants to wait and see what happens with the rest of the Premier League season.

Ighalo has been impressive while on loan at the Old Trafford. He has scored four goals in eight appearances. However, coronavirus pandemic has clouded his future.

United don’t want to draw into paying Ighalo’s wages if he isn’t likely to feature again.
