Jorginho will not hesitate to cut ties with Chelsea after this season should an attractive offer from elsewhere comes his way, informs Joao Santos.

Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho endured a difficult debut season in the Premier League after his arrival from Napoli in a €57 million deal in 2018.

The midfielder arrived in England with a sterling reputation as a technical maser capable of dictating the pace of games from a deep-lying position. However, Jorginho failed to live up to expectations during his first full season with Chelsea.

His future at the club began to look in doubts after Maurizio Sarri, the manager who signed him, jumped ships to Juventus after receiving an offer from them.

However, the Italian has become an integral member of the Chelsea line up this season after finding his feet under Frank Lampard, making 32 starts across all competition this term.

Jorginho’s current contract at the Bridge is not due to expire until 2023. But, talks to his exit, however, continues to surface with a reunion with Sarri at Juventus rumored to be on the cards. And, Jorginho’s agent says a move away for the 28-year-old is quite possible as he is indeed in contact with two unnamed high-profile European clubs.

Santos said in Radio Música Television, “If you ask me if Sarri likes Jorginho, I’d say, yes due to their history. I can’t say anything about the transfer market as I’m not in touch with anyone right now”.

“Jorginho still has three years left on his contract and is doing well at Chelsea. But if a big enough offer comes in then a deal could go through. In this sense, two top European clubs, not Italian ones, contacted me”.

The 28-year-old is currently preparing for the resumption of the Premier League season with the rest of the Chelsea squad.

The Blues sat fourth in the standings before the COVID-19 outbreak stopped play in March. The club looks forward to fighting off competition from Man United for the final Champions League spot when the action gets back.
