Arsenal is yet to offer a new deal to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as the club’s captain contract at the Emirates Stadium continues to kick out.

Aubameyang has one year left on his current deal in North London. After this, he will be able to walk away from the club on a transfer fee.

The Gunners are facing a dilemma over whether or not to offload the forward for a fee this summer or allow him to stay and see him leave for nothing in a year’s time.

The ongoing coronavirus crisis has made life trickier for the Gunners. With a shrunken transfer market, any fee the club has sought for Aubameyang will have diminished due to the financial hit caused by the pandemic.

It’s however reported the club has offered the forward an extension to the current deal. More likely, the fans have gone nuts over Aubameyang contract talks urging him to “sign the thing”.

“Arsenal are offering a new contract to Auba since December. The Problem is what he will decide. He always refused during the last months. So, we’ll see if he’ll decide to leave or extend hos contract”. A fan commented on Twitter.

The forward joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund and has done nothing but score goals since his debut. This season, he is Gunner’s top scorer providing 20 goals in 32 appearances.

Clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and a host of others have shown interests to the 30-year-old at one point in this season.

It’s reported Aubameyang wants Champions League football and any chance of a new contract at Arsenal will strongly depend on their league position come to the end of the season.
