Manchester United’s pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho lies on Paul Pogba’s future in the club.

Although the mid-fielder already formed a formidable midfield partnership with Fernandez, he has yet to provide any updates on his future.

The 27-year-old has been angling for a  move from the Premier League for over a year now with Real Madrid and his former employers Juventus reportedly credited with an interest.

However, Manchester United remain confident of keeping hold of Pogba beyond the summer. But, the decision might cost them the Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho signing.

According to Daily Mirror, the Red Devils won’t be able to fund the deal for the 20-year-old forward unless they sell Pogba.

Dortmund continues to stick to their guns when it comes to their £100 million valuations of Sancho, which Manchester United can’t afford following a financial fallout of the coronavirus crisis.

The two are not mutually exclusive though, their unification would require the Old Trafford outfit to wait until the next summer.
