Antonio Conte, the Inter Milan boss has filled his squad with former Premier League players since taking charge last summer. This might be the bidding that will end Inter’s trophy drought.

Inter Milan enjoyed their best Serie A season since 2010/11 and ended their season one point off the top. Certainly, they could yet win their first trophy since that season.

Conte’s side faces Shakhtar Donetsk today in the Europa League semi-final. The winner will face Sevilla for the finals on Friday.

Therefore, here is how Inter Milan’s old Premier League boys have fared this season.

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku was an unpolished gem in Manchester United. Since his arrival in inter Milan last summer, the Belgian international has become the first player to score 30 goals for the side in a season since Samuel Eto’o in 2010/11.

The striker has netted in a record nine consecutive Europa League games with his time in Everton included.

Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez rediscovered some of his forms at Inter after a disastrous season with United. Initially, he joined on loan and completed a free transfer move earlier this month.

The forward has started 15 games, scored four goals, and made nine assists. He has had a couple of injury problems this season and is a doubt for Inter’s Europa League run-in.

Ashley Young

The 35-year-old Young was Inter’s third signing from United this season. Young has flourished playing as a left wing-back, more advances than the full-back role he had performed for United in recent years.

The former England international has scored four times and created five goals in half a season.

Christian Eriksen

Eriksen has played in every game since his move from Tottenham in January although more than half of them are from the bench.

Last month’s report from Italy suggested Inter was willing to let go of the Dane. But, due to his impressive nature in the last two Europa League substitute, he remains.

Victor Moses

Under Conte, Moses has had his best season especially when he was converted into a right wing-back. The Nigerian joined Inter on loan in January a deal that expires this month. However, he has not quite had that same impact again. He only started four Serie A matches and has yet to score a goal.

Inter Milan meets Donetsk Shakhtar today in the Europa League semi-finals. We wish them the best of luck.
