While it’s well done and keep on going to Mikel Arteta, Arsenal still has so much to do before they challenge for the major honors including the Premier League title.

When Arsenal announced Mikel Arteta’s appointment as the new head coach, it left me cool with no clear thoughts. “Guardiola’s assistant?” I thought.

I have to admit I was wrong about Arteta’s new managerial roles and now I’m warming to him big time. In eight months, the coach had got Arsenal playing out from the back and pretty much where Arsene Wenger wanted them to be.

But even so, I had no choice but to shake my head over the celebrations following Arsenal’s penalty shoot-out over Liverpool in the Community Shield.

Clearly, Arteta has learned from his Manchester City mentor, pep Guardiola that any old pot will do when you’re nodding to the fact you’ve added to the club’s overall tally of Silverware.

Trying to interplate Arsenal fan’s minds, there’s an expectation they are going to make this leap from winning level-two to level-one trophies this season.
