Former Man. United attacker Teddy Sheringham believes the club should sell Pogba. The French superstar moved to Manchester in 2016 from Juventus.
According to Sheringham, United midfielder Paul Pogba does not possess the qualities of ex-captain Roy Keane of the Red Devils.
“When things didn’t go our way, Roy Keane could fix it. He could have put the team in the mood. He was digging the ground. We could have said we were playing at every opportunity at the expense of his passion.”
“Pogba may be a talented guy. But does he have a similar mentality? Can he dig the ground and pull United out of the hole when things get tough? The answer for me is, ‘No.’
He gives the team the wrong mood. Yes, sometimes arrogance is needed. Dwight Yorke was like that. However, he was doing the right thing at the right time. I don’t think Pogba can do that. ”
“He’s one of those people who might have to leave Manchester United and add someone with the right psychology,” Sheringham was quoted as saying by the British press.
Two reasons that prevent Pogba from transferring to Juventus
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will have to concede if he decides to move to Juventus, writes Tuttosport.
According to the Italian edition, the 27-year-old Frenchman will have his salary reduced if he returns to the Turin club. The “Old Lady” offers Pogba 9 million euros a year, while at “United,” he earns 12 million.
Another problem: Manchester United are demanding at least 100 million. The Turinese are ready to include Douglas Costa, Adrien Rabiot, or Aaron Ramsey in the transfer.
In the 2019/20 season, Paul Pogba played eight games for the Devils and made two assists. Pogba missed most of the season due to an ankle injury.
