With their first Scudetto in a decade in a sack, the Morocco winger sees no reason why the Nerazzurri cannot go further to conquer the continent.

Views of Achraf Hakimi

Achraf Hakimi believes Inter can create a dynasty of domestic and international success under the leadership of Antonio Conte after they ended Juve’s ten-year reign at the Serie A. The Nerazzurri won their first Scudetto since 2010 earlier this month under the arm of the ex-Bianconeri legend, ending his former club’s extensive tenure as champions of Italy. The result means Inter will be a club to beat next term, but Morocco International does not believe their crown will be a once-in-a-lifetime success, arguing that their manager’s vision could pave the way for a period of domination at home and abroad.

Who convinced Hakimi to join Inter?

The 22-year-old who came to San Siro from Real last year said that Antonio Conte’s ambition, project and words convinced him to join. According to Hakimi, Conte called to say that he wanted him and asked what he sees and wants in the future, then explained how they would play. This made Achraf feel important. There is a project here that starts with Antonio, with their young players and if this continues, they will be able to open a cycle that will lead us to dominate both Italy and Europe.

Current situation in Italy

Ever since Inter last lifted the Champions League in 2010, triumphing over Bayern Munich, they have struggled to capture the heights they once scaled when it came to continental football. They reached the quarter-finals and round of 16 over the next two seasons, before surviving a six-month absence from Europe’s biggest competition due to underpaid domestic kit. They did reach the final of the Europa League under Antonio last season, but were overtaken by Sevilla in Cologne, losing 3-2 to the thriller.
