Sanchez Injury 2

Sanchez hurt himself in the second half of Chile’s 0-0 friendly draw with Colombia in Alicante. The player was then replaced in the 87th minute.

The Chilean Football Federation said the 30-year-old has ‘dislocated tendons’ in his left ankle.

Sanchez has returned to Milan for further assessment of the extent of the problem.

Sanchez, who joined Antonio Conte’s Inter on a season-long loan deal in August scored on his first start for the Serie A title hopefuls against Sampdoria on 28th September. He also impressed in their Champions League defeat at his former club Barcelona.

Chile coach, Reinaldo Rueda discussed the injury and said, “Alexis seems to have suffered a small blow to the ankle. Tomorrow, we will evaluate all aspects more thoroughly.”

“We played against an opponent with different physical qualities.”

Sanchez is looking forward to reviving his career with Inter Milan after he scored five times in 45 appearances at Old Trafford.

He missed last weekend’s Serie A clash against Juventus as he was serving a suspension.

He claimed that he has rediscovered his “love for football again” after joining Inter on loan.

Regardless of how successful his spell in Italy Becomes, United do not want him to return to Old Trafford.

Solskjaer’s side will offload the Chilean winger next summer and will demand at least £25million for him.
