As you know, Liverpool lost against Arsenal yesterday. The Merseysiders can no longer improve City’s record. Alisson Becker commented on Liverpool’s fail.

In the 36th round of the EPL, Liverpool visited Arsenal and lost by a narrow margin. After the match, Merseyside goalkeeper Alisson Becker spoke to the media.

“If you are wondering the truth, in terms of scoring points, setting a record was not really our goal. When you start thinking about setting a record, it is good, but if it does not work, nothing is alarming about it.

We played to win matches and become champions – that was our real goal, and it was accomplished. The small problems that the team now has will not slow down the feeling we had after winning the championship.

We, too, are ordinary people who have shown excellent results over the last two seasons. Like everyone else, we have feelings, and we all rejoice and experience everything differently.

Recall that Liverpool won the title of the Premier League’s current champion in the 31st round. The Merseysiders ended the championship with a triumph after a 30-year hiatus.

As for the record, it belongs to Manchester City. The “Cityzens” finished the 2017/18 season with 100 points. Liverpool currently have 93 points, and if they win the remaining matches, they will accumulate a maximum of 99 points.
