Alvaro Morata said he would happily stay with Juve for life, but is currently unsure of his future as his loan is from Atlético Madrid.

Morata loves winning trophies

Alvaro Morata saved the spot for Juventus on Sunday, as his goal at the start of the second half scored a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina. Juve will have to decide on Alvaro at the end of the season as they can buy the striker outright, extend his loan or send him back to Atlético. Alvaro said after Sunday’s match that everyone knows that he would happily stay here for life if he had a chance, but this is a profession, football is a business and they have a lot of time, the players, they don’t have much choice. In the match, the Spaniard also said that they could have scored more, but failed. They had the best attitude in the second half, which will make us win the next games. According to him he looks serious because he doesn’t like not to win and that they are having a tough season. This year has been so difficult. It doesn’t matter who scores. It matters to win games and today they have proven they can win it.

Alvaro enjoys his time in Italy

Alvaro Morata enjoyed a successful season with Juventus on a personal level, as Sunday’s striker scored 18th goal in all competitions. However, for Juve as a whole, the 2020-21 campaign was a major step backward. The Bianconeri want to see their streak of nine straight league titles end and are instead in a battle for a top 4 spot and a spot in next season’s Champions League. Juve were knocked out of this season’s Champions League by Porto in the last-16 stage, with the May final of Coppa Italia against Atalanta their last chance at the top silverware for that time. The club has an option to buy Alvaro for €45 million at the end of the season. Juventus can also extend the Alvaro loan for a further season by €10m.
