Liverpool head coach Carlo Ancelotti has named the top eleven players he has worked with during his long coaching career.

It is noteworthy that the Italian specialist has worked in the top 5 European Championships and at least became the national champion in all of them. The only exception is Spain, where Ancelotti led Real Madrid, and although he failed to win La Liga, the Royal Club in 2014 won La Decima, the coveted tenth Champions League title.

Not surprisingly, the players of Milan dominate the symbolic team of Carletto. Cafu, Maldini, Kaka, Pirlo, and Shevchenko from “Rossoneri” were in the eleventh.

Ancelotti singled out Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva from their time at PSG. The 61-year-old has also joined Real Madrid, Turin’s Juventus, and London’s Chelsea.

Interestingly, none of the Bayern Munich players were included in the symbolic team. The Italian coached the “Rekordmeister” in the 2016/17 season. At that time, such stars as Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Philipp Lahm, and Xabi Alonso played among the German club players.

Also, it must be said that the five-time owner of the Golden Ball, Cristiano Ronaldo, who won one of the most prestigious individual awards during the leadership of Ancelotti, remained behind the symbolic team.

Ancelotti’s symbolic team looks like this:

Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus)

Defenders: Cafu (Milan), Thiago Silva (PSG), John Terry (Chelsea), Paolo Maldini (Milan)

Midfielders: Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Zinedine Zidane (Juventus), Andrea Pirlo, Kaka (both Milan)

Forwards: Andrei Shevchenko (Milan), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG)
