PSG, the French giants are strongly linked with the Argentine superstar, Lionel Messi who enters the last few months of his contract in Barcelona. However, in order to afford his mammoth wages, PSG may need to let either Neymar or Mbappe go.

In particular, Mbappe has once again been hugely impressive this season. He took over the throne and scored a sensational hat-trick to inspire his side to a 4-1 win against Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

And, speaking to beIN Sports, Wenger warned that PSG should think very carefully about their priorities going forward. Additionally, when asked if he thinks they should try and sign Mess, he replied, “that is another question because Lionel Mess demands a huge investment”.

“I would say PSG should be more focused on keeping their two best players and invest all the money they have in these two players. Mbappe is 22. The best player in the world maybe or the future best player in the world”.

“When you have the next two best players in the world, you keep them”.

Addressing transfer links to the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid, Mbappe refused to give much away when asked of his future. However, he made a comment and said, “it would be stupid to decide my future on a single match”.

“The truth is that it is about reflecting for the long term. I have always said that I am happy here. This sort of match makes me even happier”.

Currently, PSG is almost certain to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. However, the French giants will look to get the job done with minimal fuss when they take on Barcelona in the second leg in Paris on 10th March.
