Joakim Maehle will continue his career at Atlanta. Bergamo’s Atalanta will pay 10 million euros for the transfer.

 

Bergamo’s Atalanta reports on their official website that they have reached an agreement with Genk for the transfer of Joakim Maehle.

It is reported that the Danish defender has already undergone a medical at the Italian club and joined Atalanta with Genk’s permission.

The statement also reads that the transfer will officially end on January 4, 2021, when the transfer window opens in Italy.

According to various sources, “Nerazzurri” will have to pay 10 million euros for the 23-year-old Belgian player. It is also known thay Maehle will sign a 5-year contract with the Bergamo club.

Maehle Joakim was brought up by Aalborg Academy and played in the first team for the 2016/17 season. After that he left the Danish club and has been defending Genk’s honor since 2017.

This season, Maehle has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Belgian club, wearing one goal and four assists. In total, he has scored four goals in 107 matches of the Belgian championship in Genk.

It should also be noted that Joakim Maehle is also a member of the Danish national team. He managed to score a single goal in 6 matches for the national team.
