The ground will shake on Gewiss Stadium when Atalanta and AS Roma, the two fierce local rivals, clash against each other in the Serie A derby on Saturday evening. Atalanta are looking to cement their place in the top four, but the season is quite long.

Gasperini’s men should keep on making their progress if they want to book their spot in the Champions League. But, one thing is evident that they are going to use an attack-minded style in Saturday’s game.

AS Roma, on the other hand, failed to win their last four matches in all competitions. However, both teams are highly supposed to score.

Match Predictions

Nineteen of Atalanta’s 23 SA games have witnessed over 2.5 goals, including their last 2-1 victory against Fiorentina. At home, in every Serie A match, they have netted over 2.5 goals. Also noteworthy, that ten of the last 12 H2Hs also witnessed at least three goals netted. So, fans are full of expectations of another high-scoring clash.

In spite of scoring a league-high 2.65 goals per match, Atalanta are winless in their last two home games (one draw and one loss). Both games witnessed ‘La Dea’ netted the opener within 20 minutes but then continued to concede two goals in a row within ten minutes.

The Romans have lost 75% of their last four competitive games (and one draw), and are also winless in four H2Hs (with two draws and two losses).

The guests have won six Serie A road trips (three draws and two losses) but drew both games. Yet across four of Roma’s last five Serie A away games have witnessed over 3.5 goals (three wins, one draw, and one loss). ‘La Lupa’ have conceded only 11 of their total league goals (30) on the road.
