Football NewsBarca’s Transfer News: Setien will let Perez go, in order to make room for Moreno

Barca’s transfer planning is out of shape because they cannot gather enough amounts in order to balance the books.

Because of Luis Suarez’s absence, they need a backup striker. Perez, however, seems to be the player they are willing to sacrifice.

As a result, Barcelona’s new boss Quique Setien is going to let Carles Perez leave, even though a 21-year-old attacker has just signed a new deal to stay at the club.

The forward has played just 473 minutes in this campaign in ten meetings. But Setien has told the Perez to look for a new club until summer.

Perez has just signed a new contract with the club until September 2022, but now his days at Barça are numbered.

Barcelona wants Moreno instead of Perez

According to the latest rumors, Barca’s new target is Rodrigo Moreno. The club has already been linked to the 28-year-old forward and are planning to make space for a striker in their squad.

Barcelona is not alone in this transfer talks. Valencia are also trying to sign the striker. Barca wants to take Rodrigo until the end of summer, just to replace injured Suarez. On the other hand, Valencia wants him for permanent transfer and are ready to pay 60 million euros, including a loan fee.

It should be noted that Setien has dramatically changed Barça’s style of play. And despite the fact that he has won twice since his appointment as Barcelona’s manager, Barca is no longer shining. They suffered a humiliating defeat against Valencia recently and cannot handle against other teams like they did before.
