Bayern Munich could be planning a shock move for Arsenal Striker Olivier Giroud.
Lewandowski has made 17 appearances this for Bayern Munich this season missing out on only one game. The Polish is just one of two strikers at the team, in a situation in which manager Jupp Heynkes had to turn to 23-year-old striker from B-Team Kwasi Okyere Wriedt in their win over RB Leipzig.
Lewandoski is urging Bayern to sign a new striker putting up the reasoning:
“For me, it would be a relief if I play 15 or 20 minutes less. So you have more reserves for the next upcoming game and a higher probability that you stay fit and minimize the risk of injury.”
According to Sport Bild Bayern is eyeing Olivier Giroud as a potential target. Since the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, the French man hasn’t had a single start this season.
Giroud could’ve moved to Everton given if Ronald Koeman was permitted to move forward with the talks.
The French International didn’t have much interest in leaving Arsenal in January, but now with Bayern Munich interested in him, it could be an entirely different scenario.
