After a win in the second round of Champions League, Bayern Munich won the match in Bundesliga too. Team played a away match against Koln.
Pre-match preparations
Unlike Koln, Bayern did not have time for a rest. Flick’s team is playing matches every 3 days. It’s very hard for Bayern players to avoid injuries, so that’s why Flick is rotating the squad. Although they played against Lokomotiv in Moscow, Bayern could recover from the Bundesliga match. Bayern won the midweek match with just one goal-gap.
1st half of the match
Flick decided to rotate the striker’s position. Robert Lewandowski had time for rest, so Moting was playing from the very first minute. Along with Moting, Leroy Sane and Gnabry were attacking the defense of Koln. Muller was helping the attacking front three from a very deep midfield. In the 13th minute, the referee of the match pointed to the penalty spot. Muller took the ball and decided to shoot the ball. It was an easy moment for Muller, so the midfielder gave a lead to Bayern. In the additional minute of the first half, Gnabary went through two defenders and scored a goal. Bayern Munich won the first half 2-0;
2nd half of the match
In the second half, Koln’s coach decided to make few changes. He substituted four players before scoring the only goal. By the end of the match, Koln’s attacking line could finally score the goal. Drexler’s shoot was so good that Neuer could not save the team. Last 10 minutes of the match, Koln pressed Bayern’s defense very high. Before the final whistle, Koln had one more chance to score the goal. They could save the point but Bayern’s goalkeeper was playing too good. Bayern Munich won another match in a row, and now they took the first position.
