It’s been a few months since Eden Hazard has not played for the national team. Captain absence was tough for Belgium national team but they still could win the League A.
Pre-match preparations between Belgium and Denmark
Both teams had a chance to win a group and advance to play-offs. As you may know only teams that win groups can play in play-offs. Belgium was closer than Denmark. The away team had to win a game in Belgium and it is very hard for every team, not only for Denmark. Even big teams like Spain and Germany can’t win away matches against Belgium. Although Belgium was without Eden Hazard, they could get a deserved three points and get ahead with five points.
1st half of the match
The coach of Belgium decided to start with Eden’s brother. Thorgan Hazard was playing as the main attacker in the strategy of the coach. He was playing along with Lukaku and Dries Mertens. Napoli’s attacking line player was playing as the right attacker. Kevin De Bruyne was attacking from deep along with Chadli.
Match started with two very decisive moments for Belgium. They could score a goal in the third minute. Tielemans scored a goal and opened the score-line. It was visible that Denmark was not going to give up and they started sharp attacks. In just a few minutes after conceding the goal, Denmark’s players could score an equalizer. In the 17th minute Denmark scored and equalized result. First half ended with 1-1.
2nd half of the match
In the Second half, Belgium started playing better and they scored three more goals. First of all Lukaku scored a double in just 12 minutes. Firstly, he got an assist from Thorgan Hazard. Secondly, he got assistance from Kevin De Bruyne. Lukaku scored two goals and increased his goal-scoring run for Belgium. In the 87th minute, Belgium scored another goal and registered final result – 4:2
