The injury of Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar did not seem to be as severe as it seemed at first glance. Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel hopes that the Brazilian star will be able to play against Lille on December 20.
“It is still possible for Neymar to leave the pitch before the winter break. Hopefully, he will be able to play against Lille. We will do our best for that. But I cannot say for sure whether he will play or not. We have to wait for the results of the nearest medical tests,” Tuchel said.
Neymar suffered an injury in a match against Lyon on Sunday and left the pitch in tears on a stretcher. He underwent his first medical examination yesterday, and another test awaits him tomorrow, as a result of which the final answer will likely be known soon.
Paris Saint-Germain has 28 points in Ligue 1 after 14 rounds and is only in 3rd place in the tournament table. The Parisian team lags behind the duo of Lily and Lyon, who share the lead with 29-29 points.
