The attacking duo had an on-field argument over who gets to take the penalty which later turned into something even bigger.
According to reports the two seemingly had a bust-up in the dressing room as well along with more reports pointing that PSG had offered Cavani money to hand over the penalty duties to Neymar.
Boss Unai Emery threatened to get involved. And it seems that he’s already done so. While the manager had pointed that it was going rotate between the two Edison Cavani has pointed out that Neymar is going to be the one to take them from now onwards.
Cavani commented via FourFourTwo.
“The coach has decided that Neymar will take the next penalty,”
The Uruguayan continued his display of brilliant play scoring yet another brace against Nantes.
“We played a great game today. We knew we could put another two points between ourselves and Monaco,” he added.
PSG are still unbeaten in the Ligue 1 standings with six points above Monaco with the top French sides clashing next weekend.
“That meant we were super focused on getting this result tonight. We weren’t thinking about next weekend’s match against Monaco. We were purely focused on winning tonight.”
The French giants are also unbeaten in Europe with cleaning out all four wins the Champions League group stage standing above Bayern Munich in group B.
