Cesare Prandelli has been appointed head coach of Fiorentina. The 63-year-old specialist has previously worked successfully in Florence.

Giuseppe Iachini has been sacked as head coach of Florence Fiorentina, who has been replaced by Cesare Prandelli. Iachini was sacked due to unsuccessful results, while Prandelli returned to the Viola after 2010.

The 63-year-old specialist last coached Genoa in the 2018/19 season, and before that, he was the head coach of Al-Nasr, Valencia, Galatasaray, Italy, Roma, Parma, Venice, Verona and Lecce. Prandelli worked at Fiorentina from 2005-2010. During this period, the Florentines had an accountable team. They even managed to reach the Champions League twice.

Prandelli also achieved success in the Italian national team, which he led in 2010-2014, and “Squadra Azzurra” led to the Euro 2012 final. Fiorentina did not start the current season well. “La Viola” gained only 8 points in 7 rounds and are in the 12th place in the tournament table.
