A Belgian professional football player Charly Musonda is having some injury problems. This impacts on his present Career very negatively.

Former Chelsea attacking midfielder currently is in the middle of his second loan spell at Vitesse. Still, he appeared only four times for the club, and all these appearances were in substitutes.

Along with his chronic knee injury, last year was the toughest for Musonda. Roma was interested in taking him on loan, and maybe it was a better option for him than going to Celtic. But Chelsea did not want him to spend all his time on the bench.

Musonda’s Club Career

Musonda started his early Career in Chelsea in 2012 and stayed there till the end of 2015. Due to non-having a chance for the first appearance during the first half of the 2015-2016 season, he asked to leave the club.

In January 2016, Charly Musonda joined Real Betis on a six-month loan deal and immediately impressed La Liga. He even won the ‘Man of the Match’ reward in his debut match for Real Betis against Valencia. Accordingly, he got a six-month extension and only returned to Chelsea again in December.

The Belgian Midfielder made his debut for Chelsea against Arsenal in August 2017. He scored his only goal for Chelsea in September 2017 against Nottingham Forest.

In January 2018, Charly Musonda moved to Celtic on an 18-month loan. But the agreement was terminated in May due to the lack of sufficient playing time at the club.

In August 2018, he joined Vitesse on loan for the whole season and then rejoined the club again on loan for the second season in July 2019.

Ferrera about Charly Musonda

According to Yannick Ferrera, who worked with Musonda at under-age level, many teams wanted him to sign. He says that during European tournaments, the Midfielder almost won the best Player’s Trophy several times.

Ferrera considers the Midfielder to be really gifted technically, with his vision and maturity.

‘He has always been my favorite. He was the player I liked the most and the most talented I have ever coached,’ – says Ferrera about Musonda.

Yannick Ferrera keeps believing that Musonda can become one of the most significant football players.  According to him, the Belgian mid-fielder needs some luck with injuries, one or two years of football in the right team, and with the right coach.

Musonda has always been the player who makes fans happy while watching, and Chelsea always believed in him.
