Diego Costa spoke about Antonio Conte. The Spaniard does not consider the Italian to be a high-level specialist.

Costa and Conte worked together during their stay in Chelsea, London. It seems that even though they won the English Premier League together, they had problems with each other, and Diego does not hide it.

“Working with him isn’t really uninteresting.”

The 31-year-old Atletico Madrid player spoke about his former coach in an interview with ESPN. The disagreement eventually led to Costa deciding to return to Diego Simeone in 2017.

“I have won the Premier League twice with Chelsea. These were the most important moments of my career that I am proud of and happy to have been able to do.

I also had to work with Conte in London. He’s a really good coach who has different visions, and working with him isn’t really uninteresting. Antonio Conte is a good coach, but not at the highest level.

In order to be among the best, you need to have the right approach with the players. Antonio needs to change the side of his management man and realize that players are not robots. We had problems, and often there was a moment when we didn’t understand each other.

As far as I know, he had a chance to become the coach of Real Madrid, but I doubt that, given his character, he will be able to finish at least one season in Madrid, “said Diego Costa.
