Reportedly, Juventus is ready to step up their interest in Alexandre Lacazette by offering Arsenal a choice out of three options in a player-plus-cash deal.
The Serie A champions, Juventus recently replaced Maurizio Sarri with Andrea Pirlo who is on the prowl for the new attacking talent. Hence, they are keen on Arsenal’s Lacazette.
Lacazette has been in and out of Arsenal squad ever since Mikel Arteta stepped in in December last year. His behavior has led to talk of a surprise switch to Juventus.
Reports suggest the Frenchman will be one of the nine players to leave Arsenal this summer. This because the club seeks to reduce their wage bill and provide Arteta with transfer funds.
According to The Athletic, Juventus would be pleased to take Lacazette of their hands. The Bianconeri as so keen and absolutely willing to offer a player to sweeten the deal.
The three alleged choices available to Arsenal are Douglas Costa, Gonzalo Higuain, and Cristian Romero. The most attractive option is undoubtedly Costa, who Arteta finds appealing. However, he is also the most unlikely to head to London.
On the other hand, Higuain is past his best days and didn’t fare well with rivals Chelsea in 2018/19 either. That leaves Romero as the most likely option.
The 22-year-old Argentine, who is on loan at Genoa until the end of this month will be able to help reinforce the Arsenal defense ahead of the next campaign.
