Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid two years ago in a €100 million transfer. Since then, the Portuguese have maintained strong form despite seemingly entering the twilight years of his career.

The 35-year-old scored 21 Serie A goals in the 2018/19 campaign before bettering the score by 10 this season as Juventus clinched a ninth consecutive league crown.

By doing so, Ronaldo has set the club’s history as he became the third player to notch more than 30 strikes in a single season following in the footsteps of Felice Borel with 31 in the 1933/34 season and John Hansen with 30 in 1951/52 season.

In reality, CR7’s exploits in front of goal have been eclipsed only by Lazio’s Ciro Immobile and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski in European Football this season.

Mild speculations had suggested Ronaldo might be considering moving on again with Maurizio Sarri reportedly enduring a rocky relationship at times this season.

But, the Portugal great has given an indication that he plans to stay for the 2020/21 season.

Writing in an Instagram post published after Juve lifted the Serie A trophy, Ronaldo said, “Happy to win the last two of the none consecutive Serie A titles for Juventus.”

“It seems easy but it isn’t. Year after year with talent, dedication, and hard work you can achieve your goals and be better than before! Let’s go for my third”.

As well, Juventus are in the race to end a 24-year wait for Champions League success this season. the two-time European champions last won the trophy in the 1995/96 season.
