David De Gea displayed a ‘strange’ semi-final performance against Roma with a couple of fine saves to deny As Roma more goals.

De Gea stood up after United seems loose in the backline. However, he was not the only one who stole the show as Cavani impressed too.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praises the duo’s performance, labeled their display as top performance.

“We kept giving them the ball. We kept losing it in difficult positions but luckily we’ve got one of the best goalkeepers in the world,” Solskjaer said.

He added, “And luckily we have a number nine upfront there who wants to score goals. Edi and David. It was two top performances by them.”

Though United lost, Solskjaer reveals that it feels good to be in the finals, “It feels good of course.”

“We played one very, very good half at Old Trafford which has brought us through and today we did the job. I’m disappointed that we lost the game. I never like to lose a game, especially the way we did it,” he explained.

He continued, “But it was always going to be one of these games that was going to be open. There were chances for both teams. It easily could have been 6-6 or 8-6 for them, so it was a strange game of football.”

“It was always going to be an open game of course because they had to score. That was going to create chances for us, but we’re through,” the Norwegian added.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer touched on United’s hectic upcoming schedule.

He said, “It’s unheard of. It’s made by people who have never played football at this level. It’s physically impossible for the players,”.

Solskjaer concludes, “We have not been dealt a good hand. We are going to need everyone for these four games. It’s a short turnaround but we have to be ready.”
