Reports claim that Paulo Di Canio brands AS Roma’s decision to appoints Jose Mourinho as “the worst of the worst”.

Di Canio claims the sacked Mourinho is finished and Roma has made a terrible decision. He added that the ‘The Special One’ has been kicked out everywhere.

Mourinho, who heads back to Italy after 11 years, where he earned himself a name, ‘The Special One’. However, Di Canio gives him a hostile reception.

The West Ham legend labels Mourinho as “finished.” He insists that AS Roma’s decision to bring Mourinho is the worst of the worst.

“You’ve got the worst of the worst,” Di Canio stated.

“I understand you needed a big name at this moment, but it’s like when you sign a player who is finished,” he said.

The former player claims that the Portuguese just wanted a job.

“Mourinho just wanted a job with money. He’s had his third sacking in four years, kicked out from everywhere due to the incompatibility of his character. And before that’s all he was good at, having character,” he claimed.

Di Canio continued, “Now Tottenham gave him the boot for his results and incapacity to take the team to another level after two years with all the money they spent.

Di Canio says Mourinho is not even a shadow of his former self. He claims the lad is finished in every conceivable way and Roma got it wrong.

However, Di Canio concludes that the Portuguese do not play football and instead he plays anti-football.

“He doesn’t even play football, he plays anti-football.

However, Di Canio claims Roma might enjoy the present as that isnt going to last.

“You might enjoy yourselves in a few press conferences because controversy makes for good theatre. But let me tell you: to reconstruct a team. He’s the worst you could possibly get,” Di Canio claimed.
