Berbatov believes that James is as inspired as he was when he joined Real Madrid

James Rodriguez’s exit from Real Madrid was a welcome one for Zinedine Zidane. So Dimitar Berbatov believes that the Colombian is as inspired as he was when he first joined Los Blancos. He has played a crucial role in Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion, which see Toffees sit in the second position after two games, ahead of their fiercest rivals, Liverpool. “James Rodriguez seems like a new man at Everton. He is as inspired now as he was when he first joined Real Madrid,” Berbatov explained. “I know there were only two matches, but he was incredible. James’ left leg is magical, and right now everything is going in his favor. I don’t necessarily think Real Madrid made a mistake, sometimes these things happen.”

Berbatov was Gareth Bale’s teammate for a short time at Tottenham, and the former Bulgaria international looked at his loan move back to North London and how that might affect Real Madrid. “No matter how big you are, the team you leave will continue to exist and will probably be successful,” added Berbatov. “No one more than any other club, Real Madrid will be fine”. Bale is more interesting because he has achieved so much, but stranger things than this comeback have happened.”
