Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has been in China to visit a “Miracle” Brazilian doctor. Dalot went to get to the bottom of his hip injury.

The Portuguese player has been sidelined since pre-season. He has made subsequent visits to Chinese Club Shanghai SIPG to an injury expert, Eduardo Santos.

Santos was dubbed a “miracle-working physiotherapist” in France. This after he helped the then-PSG defender David Luiz recover from a hamstring injury in 2015.

Santos has also treated Radamel Falcao, Mousa Dembele and Eliaquim Mangala in the past.

Dalot arrived in China in late August and reportedly spent 10 days of treatment at Shanghai SIPG.

Asked why he chose to fly to China for his treatment, Dalot replied, “First of all, of course, I trust Edu. Only to see him can make me feel relieved.”

“Therefore, when I cure my injury, I will come back as soon as possible to work for Manchester United. Although it is a leap, it is worthwhile for me. Here, I sincerely appreciate the help given by Edu and I would like to thank Shanghai Football Club for the care of my visit.”

United’s boss, Ole Gunner Solskjaer said Dalot would be out in action after the current international break.

Dalot made 23 first-team appearances in his debut season. But still, he faces competition for his place following the £50m summer acquisition of Aaron Wan Bissaka.

Former United manager, Jose Mourinho described as the “best young full-back in Europe” after arriving at Old Trafford from Porto for £19m in June 2018.

Dalot will move on this summer despite signing in the right-back Aaron wan Bissaka. Still, Solskjaer values him due to his ability to play in advanced wide positions.
