Edinson Cavani spoke of his desire to leave something positive at Man Utd as he sees a new contract and relocation discussed at Old Trafford.

Edinson Cavani doesn’t like just giving advices

The 34-year-old has joined the Red Devils on a short-term deal in the summer of 2020 after being plucked from the free agent pool by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This agreement is coming to an end, no renewal has been agreed and talk of a move to Boca Juniors is making rounds, but the Uruguayan is keen to make a lasting impression on English football. About the role that Edinson is playing and what he hopes to achieve in Manchester, he said that to be honest, he is not very fond of just giving advice. He is only here to do his best and support this team and leave whatever he has on the field, be it a game or a practice. Then if a young player comes up and asks him something or they see him doing things during practice that they would like to include in their game, then that’s great. He believes there are lessons around them, not just from the players in their position.

Cavani played a key role

From the moment he walked through the door at Old Trafford, Edinson saw that he could play a key role in the ongoing development of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood. He was more than happy to pass on words of wisdom, with a career that has earned over 400 goals for the club and country, leaving him perfect to inspire and guide others. The seasoned South American has shown during his time with United that he hasn’t lost any of his touch-assists, with predatory instincts allowing him to hit the net 12 times. Ole Gunnar is eager to keep him on board despite ties to the likes of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland, with fresh terms to discuss before summer. Edinson, however, has seen a return to its speculated roots, and Boca will happily throw its doors to the frontman, who left his native Uruguay to open a European adventure at Palermo in 2007.
