Eduardo wants to join Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s interest in Eduardo Camavinga has been longstanding, and his new agent Jonathan Barnett hinted that the financial troubles hitting Spanish football, including Los Blancos, could ruin any move. Camavinga, currently with Rennes, dreams of joining one of Europe’s big clubs, including Zinedine Zidane’s team, although a fee of around €50 million will be required to secure his signature. “I have no idea; you have to ask Real Madrid,” Barnett told reporters when asked if Camavinga could move to Estadio Bernabeu. “First of all, Real Madrid are going through a tough time right now. All Spanish clubs are the same, so, unfortunately, we’ll have to see what happens. Maybe Spanish clubs cannot afford Camavinga.”

Camavinga likes Rennes at the moment

“Madrid are a big club, a great club to play for. Eduardo will have many clubs to choose from if Rennes decide to let him go. They will be one of four out of five clubs in the world that he can move to. Eduardo would love to play for a top club. Los Blancos are one of those top clubs globally, like Barcelona. I think a fee of 50 million will be needed to secure his signature.” Whether he will move soon is unclear if Barnett will brand him as a potential world-beater in his position. “At the moment, he is a Rennes player,” said Barnett. “He likes Rennes, and at the moment, we are not taken to other clubs. It is not our position.”

“We’ll see what happens later, but he’s doing well in Rennes, and that’s okay. As the best midfielder in the world, that’s how I see his future, with more medals and more trophies.”
