If elected, Rousaud wants to bring back Barca’s former players

Barcelona’s presidency candidate, Emili Rousaud has revealed his project if elected, with the former club director saying he would re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian currently has an open lawsuit against the club. Still, Rousaud wants to put that in the past and try to bring him back to the club despite Barcelona’s precarious financial position. “We are going to sign two best players, one of them is Neymar,” Rousaud said. “We are working to get him back to Barcelona… if he withdraws his lawsuit against the club”. In terms of another signing, the Catalan was very vague but noted that they are in contact with someone. “We hope to be able to announce the name of another big-name player that we want to bring in soon,” he said. “It will not leave anyone fair. We have a direct line to the footballer.”

Emili also suggested that the name of Camp Nou would be changed if Barcelona members agree to it. “We will hold a referendum to change the name of the stadium Camp Nou – to Leo Messi,” Rousaud said. He is clear that he wants to bring back some of Barcelona’s former greats. “If we win, we want to count on Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Carles Puyol and give them a strong link with the club. The team and La Masia,” he noted.
