After the last qualification matches yesterday, everything was ready for the temendous ceremony. Today, Uefa organized Europa League group draws in Monaco. Big teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Celtic and others found their group stage rivals.
Group A – Sevilla, Apoel, Qarabag, and Dudelange
Sevilla has won Europa League (previously Uefa cup) for a few times in the last decade. Rest of the teams in the group could easily fight for the second position.
Group B – Dynamo Kyiv, Malmo, Copenhagen, and Lugano.
Ukrainian team is topping the list of favorites in Europa League. The current tournament has lots of favorites such as Manchester, Arsenal and even Sevilla, but Dynamo is topping them as they had a perfect pre-season. Yes, Champions League qualification was a huge disaster, but the Ukrainian side is not going to give up.
Group C – Getafe, Krasnodar, Basel, and Trabzonspor.
Few teams can fight for the first spot in the group. Getafe had a fantastic season last year, and they deserve to be one of the favorites of Europa League. Meanwhile, Krasnodar could eliminate Porto from Champions League and did their best to qualify for this tournament. Still, they have to fight against Basel and Trabzonspor for the group.
Group D – Sporting, PSV, Rosenborg and Lask Linz
Portuguese and Dutch teams are always fun to watch. Sporting and PSV are one of the biggest clubs on a local level. It will be interesting to see which team can get the first spot in the group.
Group E – Lazio, Celtic, Rennes, and Cluj
This group could be the deadliest one. The Italian team will face Celtic, Rennes and Cluj
Group F – Eintracht, Arsenal, Standard, and Vitoria
Eintracht’s squad has to prove their worth against Arsenal. It will be fun to watch English and German clash
Group G – Porto, Young boys, Feyenoord, and Rangers
This is one of the deadliest groups in the current tournament. Porto is favorite for a tournament, but first, they have to play against Feyenoord, Young Boys and Rangers.
Group H – CSKA, Ludogorets, Espanyol, and Ferencvaros
CSKA got a spot in group H. Russian team will play against Ludogorets and Espanyol for the first spot. As the experts believe, Ferencvaros is not on the same level of rivals.
Group I – Wolfsburg, Gent, Saint-Etienne, and Zarya
A few years ago, Wolfsburg was playing in the knock-out stage of the Champions League against Real Madrid. Currently, Wolfsburg is not on the same level, and but experts believe that team can still top the “Group I”. Wolfsburg is a true leader of the group. Meanwhile, Gent could be another surprise in the current Europa League.
Group J – Roma, Borussia, Basaksehir, and Wolfsberger
Roma has not an easy group. They have to face German and Turkish teams for the first spot. None of Roma’s rivals are easy to get. It will be a tough road for Roma to qualify for the next stage.
Group K – Besiktas, Braga, Slovan, and Wolves
In last 13 months, Wolves reached Premier League and Europa League for sure. They did a tremendous job, and it pays off. English side will play against Besiktas, Slovan, and Braga to qualify for 1/8 finals.
Group L – Manchester United, Astana, Partizan and AZ Alkmaar.
Manchester will have an easy road to 1/8 finals. Those three rivals are easy for English team. MU has to travel more than 6,000 miles to face Astana in Kazakhstan.
