An informal meeting held in London between Everton and Emery ended up with the former Arsenal manager taking his time to think about his next move following his dismissal.

Emery is keen to continue improving his English as he sees England, Spain and Italy as viable options for his next job.

The Spanish coach wants to take his time out after Arsenal. But, it is crystal clear he does not want to wait too long. He is already thinking about his next challenge.

Everton is on the hunt for a new manager after they parted ways with Marco Silva. Shanghai SIPG boss Vitor Pereira is believed to top the board list.

Chairman Bill Ken wright and majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri have drawn up a four-man shortlist, including Napoli boss, Carlo Ancelotti.

It has however been confirmed that Emery was desperate to sign Wilfred Zaha in the summer as reported during the last window transfers.

Emery also wanted to sign a central defender. He was keen on Harry Maguire who proved too expensive.
