Era of Galacticos from 2000

As you may know, Florentino became the president of Real Madrid back in 2000. In August, he promised to sign Luis Figo at any cost. Second term of Florentino Perez

In 2009, Florentino became the president of Real Madrid again after three years of absence. Florentino promised to sign big names again and he did everything. In the summer of 2009, Real Madrid signed big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Ozil, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso. At the same time, the Real Madrid president signed another big player – Gareth Bale. In the second term, Los Blancos won many trophies including four Champions League in five years (three consecutive CL titles). Zidane was the most successful coach for Florentino Perez. At the same time, Cristiano Ronaldo became the biggest goal-scorer of the club under Perez. Perez promised to finish the Stadium’s reconstruction before the end of the spell. Work on Bernabeu started back in March 2020. It’s still in progress and will be ready for the next season. Perez wants to end his final spell of presidency with big transfers. He wants to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the same transfer window.
