Manchester United mid-fielder, Jesse Lingard admits Mason Greenwood strikes the ball so naturally with either foot something that makes Lingard have no clue which is his best foot.

Jesse Lingard is a big fan of Mason Greenwood who is regarded as the Red Devils’ greatest academy product for years. So much, it appears his head coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opted against spending big on a new striker.

Apparently, the coach is on the idea of giving the teenager the chance to fill the strikers void at the club. Greenwood is, without doubt, a prodigious talent demonstrating an uncanny ability to use both feet with equal effect.

You will often see some of the best players work the ball onto their strongest foot. But, for the teenager, he has shown he is equally lethal with both the right and the left foot.

Greenwood’s ability has shocked many including his teammate Jesse Lingard who insists the 18-year-old will strike the ball with one foot and minutes later use the other to equally great effect.

He said, “Mason, he is a cheeky chappy. He is a good lad, holds his own in the changing room, holds his banter.”

“He knows the game of football; he shoots right to the left foot. Still to this day, I don’t know what foot he is. He can score free-kicks with his left, take corners with his right”.

“When he has been given the opportunity, he shows what he can do. It doesn’t matter about age as long as you can perform on the day, and do the job for the team, you’ll be in the team”.

“He is learning at a rapid rate at the moment”.

Greenwood would be the first to admit he remains on a steep learning curve with the Bradford native still a rough diamond in need of a little polishing. There is, however, no doubting his potential or confidence in his own ability.
