The phenomenal season of Erling Haaland continues. The 19-year-old Norwegian already has a better result than Messi and Ronaldo.

On Saturday, Borussia Dortmund defeated Gelsenkirchen’s Schalke 4: 0 in the big derby in Ruhr. 19-year-old Erling Haaland scored his 41st goal of the season. This means that the Norwegian climbed 41 goals faster in one season than Cristiano Ronaldo (35, Juventus) and Lionel Messi (32, Barcelona).

We read in ‘Marca’ that Messi was already 22 years old when he scored 41 goals for the first time in the 2009/2010 season. Ronaldo scored 41 goals for the first time in the 2007/2008 season. But then the Portuguese were already 23 years old.

Erling Haaland managed to do it at the age of 19 years, nine months and 23 days!

Erling scored 16 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga, 4 in the Austrian Cup, and 8 in the Champions League, as part of Salzburg, until the winter.

After moving to Dortmund (i.e., January), he has ten goals in the German Bundesliga. Also, 1 in the German Cup and 2 in the Champions League with the Borussia T-shirt.

Is Haaland better than Lewandowski?

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says Erling is already a phenomenon. Because of the Norwegian, they have hope in Dortmund to celebrate their first championship since 2012.

Also, in the fight for the title of the best scorer of the Bundesliga, a great competitor of Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski appeared. Lewandowski has indeed scored 26 goals in 24 games. So, Haaland will not be able to catch up with him this season. But the 19-year-old forward from Dortmund has already scored more often than the Pole!

Haaland scores in every 60 minutes in the Bundesliga, and Lewandowski – in “only” every 82 minutes.

By the way, on May 26, Dortmund will host Bayern, and the center-forward duel will add extra intrigue to the Bundesliga classics.
