According to the latest reports, Dean Henderson, 23, will stay in Manchester United until 2025. The English goalkeeper will compete with David de Gea.

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has signed a new 5-year contract with the club. Henderson earned a new contract because of a brilliant season at Sheffield United last year (he was playing on loan).

“I feel the support of the coach and the club. This contract is proof of that,” – says Henderson. “It gives me even more strength to take my professional development to a new level and not dwell on achievement.”

As you know, Dean Henderson had an excellent season at Sheffield last year. The team was able to finish ninth at the end of the season with perhaps the scarcest resource in the league. “I am delighted that Dean has signed a new contract. Last season he played brilliantly and has grown both professionally and personally.” Says Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer.

“I think our goalkeeping department has strengthened and is ready for next season.”

Dean Henderson will be the second goalkeeper in the team after David de Gea. So far, the third and fourth numbers remain in the team – Sergio Romero and a veteran Lee Grant.
