Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson showed his leadership qualities as he stepped in to help Takumi Minamino get his hands on the Premier League trophy amid celebrations.
Liverpool players celebrated making history after 30 years of waiting as they finally lifted the Premier League title.
With supporters watching from home and others partying outside Anfield, Liverpool stars kept them entertained as they danced around the dressing room.
As they went out onto the pitch to lift the trophy, Mo Salah had dyed his hair red with Firmino wearing his “Bobby Dazzler” glasses.
However, amid the celebrations, fans spotted one player looking slightly uncomfortable amongst the celebrations. Their signing from RB Leipzig-Takumi Minamino.
The winger has yet to get going since his January making only nine Premier League appearances mostly from the bench. After failing to contribute a goal or assist in the top-flight, the 25-year-old was spotted keeping away from the limelight as his team-mate lifted the trophy in celebrations.
But, Henderson demonstrated his leadership qualities when he was captured placing his arm around Minamino and encouraging him to get involved and lift the trophy.
Plenty of fans picked up on the Reds skipper’s heartwarming gesture and showered him with praise.
One tweeted, “Love that from Henderson. Minamino at the back on his own and Henderson brings him to the front to let him lift the trophy.”
Another said,” Henderson going over to Minamino and telling him to get his hands on the trophy was lovely”.
The Japanese star is not a stranger to winning the league titles. The reason being he has won six straight Austrian league titles in Salzburg. He earned a winner’s medal for helping them to the crown this year but still hopes to play a much bigger role in Liverpool’s campaign next season.
Henderson has developed into a brilliant captain and his action towards Minamino shows the spirit he brings to the Anfield dressing room. Having experienced his fair share of doubt and criticism when he joined Liverpool, he’s now lifted the Champions League and the Premier League in the last two seasons.
