Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the best player of the XXI century. The Portuguese star comments after winning the Globe Soccer Awards.

Portugal and Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the best player of the 21st century at the Globe Soccer Awards. The 36-year-old superstar addressed the audience after winning the award in Dubai:

Cristiano Ronaldo: “It’s nice to set records, I achieved all this, but without my teammates, without great teams, I could not have set these records. Coronavirus? Playing in empty stadiums is boring. We respect regulations because health is important, but football is always mine. I’m going out for the family and the fans, and it’s weird to play without them. I also like it when the fans confront me when I score a goal, the opponent’s fans shout – Buu – it motivates me. The world is coming to an end soon, and we will enjoy it and have more fun next year.

It’s an honor for me to be here with such fantastic players as Casillas, Lewandowski and Pique. I am 36 years old. But I still love football. I’ve been doing the same thing for 15 years and often doing the same exercises. I want to thank everyone who voted for me, my teammates, clubs and national team, family and friends, especially my fiancée and my children, who help me to be a better person. It is a fantastic achievement and gives me the impetus to keep moving forward. The best name is a great honor. I am proud and very happy. Thank you. I hope to play for a few more years. ”

Recall that Cristiano Ronaldo beat Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Mohamed Salah in the fight for the title of the 21st-century player.
