After the Coppa Italia clash, Ibrahimovic and Lukaku have been given a one-match ban following the “rivalry” after Tuesday’s Milan derby.
The AC Milan forward, Ibrahimovic, and Inter’s Lukaku have both received a one-match ban following their heated confrontation in the Milan derby. The two players were booked by referee Paolo Valeri after crashing towards the end of the first half. The pair are now banned for their next respective Coppa Italia clash.
Lukaku was already on a yellow card. So, he will miss Inter’s semi-final first leg against Juventus this coming week. Similarly, Ibrahimovic is also banned for one game after picking up a second yellow card during Tuesday’s game though the suspension is on Coppa Italia games and so will come into force next season.
However, it is still possible for the Italian Football Federation to open an investigation and assess any possible discrimination as they are yet to receive the referee’s report on the incident. This is according to Sky Sport Italia.
