Zlatan Ibrahimovic extends another year at AC Milan Thursday that will see him play past his 40th birthday.

The Swedish turns 40 in October and is still full of gas to push Milan forward in the Serie A. Ibrahimovic has Transformed AC Milan into title contenders since his return in January last year.

Confirming the contract extension, the club (AC Milan) said in a statement that Ibrahimovic has played for Milan more than any other in Italy.

AC Milan said in a statement, “AC Milan is the club for which Zlatan has played the most in Italy.

“After scoring 84 goals in 130 appearances with the Rossoneri, the Swedish striker will continue to be wearing the red and black jersey next season.”

Reports claimed that the Swedish has penned a $7.8 million annual contract. Ibra confirmed the signing of the contract on social media saying, “The Saga Continues @acmilan.”

Ibrahimovic also confirms that adding one year stay at the Rossoneri is important. He insists he feels at home and happy to wear the Red and Black Jersey.

Ibrahimovic said, “I feel very happy. I waited for this day and now I have another year, which is what is most important to me.”

He added, “I always said, playing for Milan is like being at home.”

“I love the way the club makes me feel, all the people who work here, my colleagues, the coach, the fans who I really miss in the stadium.

“This is like my home. If I can stay here for life I would,” he stated.

On Stefano Pioli, Ibrahimovic revealed that the tactician is an easy person to work with. He claimed that Pioli always calls for the best.

“Working with (Stefano) Pioli is really easy, he has the right mentality,” said Ibrahimovic.

“Every day he has this energy that transforms the team and he wants the best out of us,” he concluded.
