Jack Grealish has been questioned on speculation that linked him to a move to Manchester United in 2020

There is Bruno Fernandes

Aston Villa playmaker tossing the name of Bruno Fernandes in an easy response. Winter and summer windows saw the England international become a big money target for those at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, should have added the Portuguese midfielder to his ranks rather than launching a raid on a Premier League rival – with a lot of value found in that deal with Sporting.

Grealish spoke with United supporter Harry Pinero, YouTuber, and was asked about intense rumors regarding adorable views from Manchester. He said: “You have Bruno anyway!” The Red Devils landed quite a deal for themselves when they snapped at Fernandes for € 55m (£ 47m / $ 60m) in January 2020.

He became a talisman

He became a mascot presence for Solskjaer’s party, with the 26-year-old looking for moments of inspiration. Fernandes has given a lot, with 34 goals and 21 assists recorded through 62 appearances.

Grealish enjoys a similar position at Villa as captain of the club and a key part of Dean Smith’s plans. He has impressed since his return to the Premier League stage, with seven goals and 10 assists recorded this season – hitting 10 and eight in those departments during the 2019-20 campaign.

Like Fernandes, the 25-year-old’s game is all about unlocking the opposition’s defenses. In this he showed himself skillfully, his value is now recognized by the club and the country. Grealish has earned comparisons to England legend Paul Gascoigne and sits comfortably on any list of the best goals in the Premier League.

However, he longs to avoid being caught in his own hype and offered a humble response when told he could have the “dirtiest first touch” in an English top flight.
