Bilbao Athletic are among the likely future clubs for the Spanish midfielder. The president of Bilbao, Aitor Elizegi, also spoke about the possible return of the 31-year-old player to the Basque club. According to Elizegi, Javi Martinez will be welcomed if he decides to return to his former club. But the last word will be on the sports director, Rafael Alkorta and the head coach, Gaizka Garitano:
