Chelsea takes on the Hammers in the Premier League this weekend with both fightings for a top-four finish. The Blues sits on fourth, the same points as their rivals West Ham and each seeks to open a three-point lead.

According to Jorginho, who said it will be a big game, urge his side to step up their game.

“It will be a big game [against West Ham],” Jorginho said.

“We need to prepare very well because they are doing very well in the league,” he added. “We need to be careful and play better than yesterday [against Brighton].”

Chelsea struggles to keep up the pace for the top four with a busy fixture compared to their contenders.

Notably, only Leicester waits for the FA Cup finals clash with Chelsea while Liverpool and West Ham have only the league. This has reduced Thomas Tuchel boys to a disadvantage but yet the pressure hasn’t got to them.

Meanwhile Jorginho’s teammate Christian Pulisic opens up on Chelsea’s injury. He admits to working hard to avoid injuries ahead of the Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

“It definitely wasn’t easy for me. It’s been a tough year for a lot of reasons,” Pulisic reveals

“Obviously, having injuries has been tough because I’ve been doing everything I can to take care of my body.  And just try to be right for every game. And it does hurt when I can’t be out there to help the team,” the Chelsea attacking midfielder added.

The American admits he loves the European competition and has always wanted to play in it.

“It’s the best time really when everyone focuses up and the games are usually really good

“Growing up, I loved watching the Champions League.  And I always wanted to play in it, so it feels surreal in a way,” Pulisic admits.
